Best Monitor Wall Mounts (Review & Buying Guide)

We think of wall mounts as something we use for our TVs, but using them for monitors is even more important, especially for people who spend hours each day in front of one. The ergonomic benefits of an adjustable monitor wall mount easily outweigh any price you can pay for them, but these days, the prices have come down so much that even the most sophisticated models, containing all the bells and whistles, won’t break the bank.

In order to avoid those annoying neck cramps and back pain, you should position your monitor some 2 to 3 inches above your eye level. The proper distance should be a fully extended arm, with just your middle finger barely touching the screen. This positioning can hardly be achieved without a wall mount, preferably one that supports movement in all three axes. Almost all models support tilt and swivel, but those are just used to reduce glare and ensure optimum viewing angle. If you really want a mount that can help you alleviate the negative consequences of spending a huge chunk of your day sitting in front of your monitor, you need to get one of the models that sport an extension arm that support both height and distance adjustment. This will allow you to fully customize the position and find the optimal setup for you.

As more and more employers realize the positive effects of an ergonomically-correct sitting position, monitor wall mounts are becoming a norm in offices. Not only they reduce the strain on employees, but they also increase productivity and reduce downtime. The increased demand has led to the market being flooded with various models, each claiming to be the best. There are plenty of companies, employing the science of ergonomics to create a perfect wall mount, but there are also a lot of copies and cheap knock-offs also. Getting through them in order to find a perfect wall mount can be tedious, so we created a list in order to help you narrow your choices and focus only on quality products.

Included below, we have tried to find something for everyone. There are models with and without extension arm, so you can pick the one you need. Some of them support quite heavyweights, while others are designed for smaller and lighter monitors. These are all the factors you need to consider before making a purchase.
